For over 20 years, the Actualize Solar team has worked in the renewable energy space while leveraging over 35 gigawatts of power generation projects. Throughout our careers, we assisted well-known independent power producers (IPPs), developed projects, negotiated PPAs, advised utilities and companies, structured tax equity and debt, purchased and sold projects, including large asset portfolios.

VADIM OVCHINNIKOV
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Vadim brings over 20 years of experience in business development and project financing of solar, wind and conventional power generation assets.
Prior to Actualize Solar, he was a managing director at Alfa Energy Advisors for 12 years, where he ran the project finance advisory practice assisting developers, public utilities, and capital providers in the development, financing, purchase and sale, and restructuring of over 20 gigawatts of solar, wind, fuel cell, gas, hydro, and geothermal projects.
Vadim possesses in-depth understanding of solar and wind energy sector in the US, has been quoted by leading industry publications and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Prior to Alfa Energy Advisors, Vadim was a managing director at Chicago Advisory Group for five years. He provided financial advisory services, worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ investment and capital markets team, and served as a member of the derivatives and financial instruments team at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).
Vadim received a master’s degree (magna cum laude) and a bachelor of science degree from Brigham Young University. He is a CFA charterholder and a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois.

NEIL WATLINGTON
CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Neil is a seasoned executive leader with over 30 years of multi-disciplinary experience in international power infrastructure development and operations, and economic development. A strategic thinker and experienced executive with a track record of delivering and overseeing successful power projects representing over $5 billion of capital across energy technologies and solutions. His experience highlights discipline and oversight in project development, financing, strategic planning, market assessment, feasibility analysis, community and land development issues, power purchase agreement and EPC negotiations, construction management, due diligence, permitting, compliance, and government / public relations with high-ethical standards and cultural sensitivity.
Prior to Actualize Solar, Neil was an Executive Director at NextEra Energy with responsibilities for renewable energy and storage development in Canada and New England, and previous to that he had been a Vice President of AES, where he spearheaded the development of the first non-recourse project financed, utility scale independent generators fueled with coal and solar energy as well as supported numerous businesses in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean region. He also served as the Director of U.S. Operations for the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company, and a two-time governor-appointed citizen representative for electric sector reform in Puerto Rico.
He obtained an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, a JD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, and a B.S. in Economics from Penn State University. In addition, he received a fellowship for Entrepreneurial Studies at MIT.

GINTARAS SADAUSKAS
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Gintaras brings over 20 years of experience in project finance and M&A in the power space. Prior to Actualize Solar, Gintaras was a managing director at Alfa Energy Advisors, where he provided financial and commercial advice to clients relating to development, financing, acquisitions and sales of power generation assets.
During the past 20 years, he has been involved in over 20 gigawatts of solar and wind portfolio transactions and project financings, including tax equity and debt structuring.
Prior to Alfa Energy Advisors, Gintaras worked in the project finance and M&A groups at AES Corporation headquarters, where he participated in multiple acquisitions and structured project financings in the US and internationally. Prior to AES, Gintaras worked in the Financial Advisory Services Group at KPMG in Europe. Gintaras received an MBA degree from the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia and M.Sc. in international management from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland.

MATTHEW MERKLEY
SENIOR GIS ANALYST
Matt is responsible for locating and analyzing suitable land for solar and battery storage projects across the US. He is a Veteran and was an Aviation Electricians Mate in the United States Navy. Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and coaches his daughter’s softball team.

JOSH LARAVIA
LAND ACQUISITION SPECIALIST
Josh brings several years of sales and relationship management experience to the renewable energy development team at Actualize Solar. Helping landowners obtain the maximum value for their land, Josh has secured over 50 sites representing several large utility-scale and distributed generation solar projects. With 20 years of ministry experience, Josh is dedicated to and passionate about serving and continually supporting all people from diverse backgrounds and personal circumstances. Throughout his career, he has managed multiple teams and projects while ministering to those around him. Josh received a bachelor’s degree in History from Louisiana State University and a Master’s degree from New Orleans Theological.

STEPHEN M. JOHNS, JD, MBA
LEGAL COUNSEL
Stephen Johns brings over 25 years of experience as a corporate, securities and renewable energy attorney. He serves as general counsel focusing on M&A, finance or other transactions.
Stephen began his legal practice at Fulbright & Jaworski; Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison; and Dell Computer Corporation. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied finance, and the University of Houston where he obtained his juris doctor and MBA in finance.

MAGGIE JARRETT
IN-HOUSE NOTARY, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Maggie serves as an in-house notary and executive assistant supporting the company’s project development efforts. Prior to Actualize Solar, she worked as an administrative assistant at Vanderbilt University and University of Texas at Austin. Maggie hold a bachelor’s degree in history from North Carolina State University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her little daughter.
